Programs

The structure of CWI is somewhat like an "umbrella," with administrative functions for the four core programs coordinated by a single program office staff. While the focus of each of the California Workforce Initiative affiliated programs is to explore, promote and advance positive reforms regarding California's health care workforce, the individual programs vary in their specific activities, topical areas, scopes and duration. In all of our work, CWI considers policy changes and areas of future study that can enhance reforms in the state's health care system.

California Workforce Initiative: Projects and publications exploring, promoting and advancing reform within the California health care workforce.

CWI Affiliated Programs

Allied and Auxiliary Health Care Workforce: Bringing stakeholders together to develop new approaches to address educational and training challenges faced by allied and auxiliary workers.
California Dental Access Project: Analyzing the current state of access to dental care and developing recommendations on new and innovative models of care delivery for uninsured, low income and Medicaid patients or patient populations.
The Network: A Collaboration to Improve Medical Education and Health Care: The Network brings together health organizations and academic centers to develop and disseminate knowledge and resources to improve the quality of physician practice through education.
